Dr. Deniz Okuyucu

Dr. Deniz Okuyucu graduated with honors from Istanbul University Faculty of Law in 2010, having spent a year of her undergraduate studies at the University of Vienna. In 2013, she completed her master’s degree in Commercial and Corporate Law at Queen Mary University of London, where her thesis, “Country Assessment: Turkey – Corporate Governance, Stock Exchanges, and the Role of Law,” was published in BATIDER; she also conducted a research project comparing the legal systems of universities around the world. Her doctoral studies at Istanbul University focused on the social responsibility of joint-stock companies. Working at leading law firms in Istanbul since 2011, Deniz has specialized in investment processes, corporate and commercial matters, contract law, logistics and transport law, and insurance law.

Having taken part in numerous mergers & acquisitions, restructuring, startup, and investment projects, and advising domestic and foreign clients operating in the aviation, transportation, maritime, and insurance sectors, Deniz brings to her practice the academic perspective reinforced by her master’s and doctoral studies. She is fluent in English.
